andrew's "come to the sunshine" internet radio show on luxuriamusic will make it's

andrew's new album "from me to you" is all mixed, mastered and ready to go! the album will come in a deluxe sleeve, including a color poster with lyrics! copies will be available for sale in may 2007.

in spain, sonic wave did a quick review of 33 sonic wave and popism's goran did his usual detailed analysis for his online review section of popism radio show. goran also prepared something of an andrew radio special fea turing the originals of many of the songs andrew has covered over the years (greener days, heading for a fall, round going round, etc.), plus music by kindred spirits such as the cyrkle and honeybus. you can hear it all at popism-music.

february 2007

andrew has completed the last session for his new album, which has also been remixed for release. it should be available in a couple of months. more details to follow.

andrew was back in the studio in early january, with david nolte and brian kehew, completing some new mixes of his fourth album, from me to you. word has it that, one way or another, this album will be on sale in 2007!

andrew's live performance at club spaceland will now take place on december 12 at 9pm sharp. there was a scheduling conflict with some band called jet (not the band with martin gordon and andy ellison!). we hope you can be there for this event.

andrew will be presenting a special live winter themed edition of his radio show "come to the sunshine" on monday, december
4 from 4-6pm (pst) on luxuriamusic. andrew will be back on the air for a beatles special on friday, december 8, from 12-1pm (pst), again on luxuriamusic.

andrew will perform his final show of the year at club spaceland in los angeles on december 12, 2006. andrew promises some new songs, plenty of old ones and to play the electric guitar for the first time in two years. details to follow on the exact time of his set in our next update. if it is anything like his show in july, it is not to be missed.

andrew launched his own radio show at luxuria music on september 11th. the program, called "come to the sunshine," airs live every monday from 4 - 6pm (pacific time zone). you can chat and watch andrew online while the show is in progress. the show for september 25th is a special all p.f. sloan episode.

september 2006

andrew's 33 cd is now available in the united states direct from cd baby. you can also hear sound samples of every song on the page.

the monkees' official website that andrew helped put together is now up and running. look for more content and features to be added to the site soon.

andrew will host a screening of the monkees' only movie, head, at west los angles' nuart theatre. it is a midnight screening on friday, september
8th. you can win tickets for this screening, plus copies of rhino's monkees reissues via klsx's breakfast with the beatles show on sunday, september 3rd (between 10am and 1pm).

andrew is featured in a bbc radio
2 documentary about the monkees to air in the united kingdom on september 16th. it may also be accessed worldwide via the internet!

you can hear someone new, a change of scene or something warm from spaceland (just click on the song title) or watch where I want to be and i can't be lonely (click, watch, rate, share and favorite).

during july, you may also hear three new andrew songs exclusively at myspace: the distance, temporary and i want to go. andrew is now writing a monthly blog. this month he remembers his pal, duke, with a slide show, and asks friends to adopt a cat or donate to kitten rescue. andrew is by starting an annual duke fund contribution and adopting a second cat (saved by kitten rescue from its los angeles' central shelter).

andrew will be playing his first regular night time club gig in almost two years at the world famous spaceland on july 9 at 9pm. admission is free and andrew will be pulling out all the stops with a full band (including strings) and lots of new songs!

in september an interview with andrew will be heard on bbc radio two regarding the monkees 40th anniversary. andrew will also be hosting a film screening that month in honor of the anniversary.

andrew will play his first show in almost two years on may 22nd at the los angeles public library's will and airel durant branch! this idiosyncratic booking will begin at 6pm and is free to all (and open to all ages). expect a lot of very young audience members, as this performance will be geared towards children. andrew will run through songs, old and new, and answer questions from the audience. the emphasis will be on how his song's are written and he will accompanied by his usual group of renown.

things are happening!

the elaborate artwork for andrew's 33 compilation is now completed and ready to go to manufacturing. we'll let you know how to get this special cd set soon. it features a colorful 16-page booklet and a lovely digipak, six unissued andrew tracks and the best of the rest of his releases. stay tuned!

andrew was back in the studio with brian kehew and friends working on the from me to you album. three new songs were recorded: temporary, i hate your guts, as well as a cover of chad & jeremy's a summer song. that makes a total of twelve songs slated for the album. overdubs were also added to the songs a change of scene, the distance and no one else. three more sessions are scheduled for march and the album should be done in a few weeks. release details will follow completion.

the february 9 issue of rolling stone included a four-and-a-half star review of the everly brothers box set that andrew produced for germany's bear family label. also, the fall,winter issue of pop culture press included a rave write up of andrew's monkees book.
